Problemele dentare afectează mai mult de jumătate dintre copiii români

Studii recente arată că peste jumătate dintre copiii din România se confruntă cu probleme dentare. Majoritatea celor mici ajung rar la stomatolog și adesea o fac doar când situația devine gravă, comportament ce este comun și în rândul adulților.

Un factor care contribuie la această situație este percepția greșită a părinților care cred că dinții de lapte nu necesită tratament, deoarece aceștia vor cădea oricum. În plus, costul vizitelor la stomatolog reprezintă un alt obstacol, având în vedere că Casa de Asigurări de Sănătate nu acoperă suficient de multe servicii stomatologice.

Autoritățile recunosc necesitatea unei finanțări mai bune în acest domeniu și subliniază importanța educării populației cu privire la sănătatea orală, pentru care se caută soluții viabile.
