Conform businessinsider.com, concedierile de la Block, compania fondată de Jack Dorsey, sunt extinse, chiar și prin standardele stricte ale marii tehnologii, însă compania a primit unele laude pentru pachetul de despăgubiri oferit. Dorsey a declarat că Block va oferi angajaților concediați un salariu echivalent cu 20 de săptămâni, plus o săptămână suplimentară pentru fiecare an de vechime.

De asemenea, aceștia vor beneficia de șase luni de asigurare medicală, un stimulent de 5.000 de dolari și opțiunea de a păstra dispozitivul de lucru. Equity-ul va fi păstrat până la sfârșitul lunii mai, a adăugat Dorsey. Brooks Holtom, profesor de management la Universitatea Georgetown, a declarat pentru Business Insider că pachetele sunt „relativ generoase”.
