Creștere a cazurilor de infecție cu virusul West Nile în România

Institutul Național de Sănătate Publică (INSP) a anunțat recent că, în perioada de supraveghere a infecției cu virusul West Nile, până la data de 22 august, au fost înregistrate 22 de cazuri, dintre care 20 au fost confirmate, iar 2 sunt considerate probabile. Din păcate, un pacient a decedat din cauza acestei infecții.

În Municipiul București s-au raportat 4 cazuri de infecție, în timp ce alte județe au avut următoarele statistici: Bistrița-Năsăud a înregistrat 2 cazuri, Botoșani 1, Cluj 1, Dâmbovița 1, Giurgiu 2, Ilfov 2, Mureș 2, Prahova 1, Satu Mare 2 și Suceava 4.

Cei mai afectați de această infecție sunt vârstnicii, iar cele mai multe cazuri de îmbolnăvire, 7 la număr, se regăsesc în grupa de vârstă 60 - 69 de ani. Pe următoarea poziție, cu 6 cazuri, se află persoanele cu vârsta între 70 și 79 de ani, conform informațiilor disponibile pe site-ul INSP.
