Guvernul decide înființarea societății Carpatica Feroviar pentru transport militar

Guvernul României se pregătește să aprobe astăzi înființarea unei noi companii, Carpatica Feroviar, care va oferi servicii de transport militar atât pentru țară, cât și pentru aliații săi. În prezent, CFR Marfa îndeplinește o parte din necesitățile Armatei, însă multe dintre trenurile care transportă bunuri operează cu viteze reduse din cauza restricțiilor de trafic.

De asemenea, s-au înregistrat situații în care companiile private au refuzat sau nu au reușit să execute anumite transporturi feroviare considerate strategice. În documentele oficiale care însoțesc proiectul noii societăți, autoritățile sugerează că Carpatica Feroviar va prelua în esență activitatea CFR Marfa.

Această măsură vine pe fondul problemelor financiare cu care se confruntă actuala companie de transport marfă, care a acumulat datorii de ordinul miliardelor de lei și nu a beneficiat de investiții semnificative în ultima perioadă. Noile direcții strategice vizate de guvern ar putea aduce o schimbare semnificativă în domeniul transportului feroviar militar.
