Pacient infectat cu virusul West Nile decedat la Spitalul de Urgență Suceava

Un pacient a decedat în cursul zilei de ieri la Spitalul de Urgență din Suceava, fiind infectat cu virusul West Nile. Acest caz face parte dintr-un grup de trei pacienți în vârstă de peste 80 de ani care au fost internați în luna curentă, manifestând simptome precum febră, cefalee și amețeală.

După evaluarea medicală, aceștia au fost diagnosticați cu meningită. Din cei trei pacienți, un bărbat a avut o evoluție favorabilă și a fost deja externat, în timp ce un alt pacient în vârstă de 88 de ani află în continuare în stare gravă la secția de terapie intensivă. Autoritățile sanitare îndeamnă populația să fie atentă la simptomele infecțiilor virale și să se prezinte la medic în caz de apariție a acestora.
