Ford rechemnează aproape 1,4 milioane de camionete F-150 din Statele Unite din cauza unei probleme legate de schimbătorul de viteze, care poate duce la pierderea controlului vehiculului și la un risc crescut de accident, potrivit abcnews.com.

Problema afectează camionetele F-150 echipate cu transmisie automată cu șase trepte, produse între 12 martie 2014 și 18 august 2017. Automobilul a fost informat despre două vătămări și un accident posibil legat de această problemă. Raportul de rechemare al Administrației Naționale pentru Siguranța Traficului pe Autostrăzi (NHTSA) indică faptul că unele camionete ar putea experimenta un semnal de selecție intermitent al senzorului de gamă de transmisie spre modul de control al trenului de rulare, ceea ce poate duce la o retrogradare temporară și neintenționată în treapta a doua.

Această retrogradare poate provoca o reducere bruscă a vitezei roților pentru o scurtă perioadă de timp, ceea ce, în anumite situații, ar putea duce la alunecarea roților din spate până când viteza vehiculului scade. Ford este conștient de 444 de solicitări de garanție și 105 raporturi de service clienți care ar putea fi legate de această problemă, până la începutul acestei luni.

Proprietarii de vehicule vor fi notificați prin poștă cu privire la rechemare și vor fi instruiți să își aducă vehiculul la un dealer Ford sau Lincoln pentru a avea calibrul modulului de control al trenului de rulare actualizat, fără costuri suplimentare.
