România, locul 6 la Jocurile Mediteraneene în Muntenegru

Echipa de handbal fete a României a încheiat pe locul 6 la Jocurile Mediteraneene, competiție organizată în Podgorica, Muntenegru. În ultimul meci al turneului, echipa românească a pierdut în fața Sloveniei, cu scorul de 20-26. Elena Coșorea, jucătoare la CSM București, a fost desemnată cel mai bun portar al competiției. România a obținut patru victorii în acest turneu, în fața Turciei (scor 32-21), Sloveniei (24-16), Italiei (31-14) și Kosovo (32-13), o remiză cu Slovacia (18-18) și 4 înfrângeri împotriva Croației (29-30), Muntenegrului (21-24), Spaniei (21-26) și Sloveniei (20-26). Spania a câștigat turneul învingând în finală Muntenegru cu scorul de 30-19.
