Un pacient de 88 de ani a decedat din cauza virusului West Nile în Suceava

Un bărbat în vârstă de 88 de ani din Gura Humorului, care suferea de multiple afecțiuni, a fost internat în stare gravă la Spitalul Clinic de Urgență Sfântul Ioan cel Nou din Suceava. Din păcate, pacientul a decedat pe data de 3 septembrie.

După două zile, analizele de laborator au confirmat că bărbatul era infectat cu virusul West Nile. Acesta reprezintă al șaselea caz de infecție cu acest virus în județul Suceava, înregistrat din luna august până în prezent, și al treilea pacient care a murit din cauza complicațiilor asociate cu boala.

Autoritățile sanitare continuă să monitorizeze situația și să ia măsuri pentru prevenirea răspândirii virusului în comunitate.
